reviews Stefania Sabatino
Presentation by Vittorio Sgarbi
On the occasion of the personal show "Sensi - Corpi in movimento" held at the rooms of Villa Vannucchi (Ville Vesuviane circuit) at S. Giorgio a Cremano (NA), 2007.

Her idea is to settle through the decomposition of the body, this thing that we see reproduced in these images that have a characteristic color quite heated, in which I detect a great pleasure in the use of color, almost erotic use of this and which is an emotional part of the work.
An appreciation of this painting that the artist expresses correctly and that can communicate to others, and it is in those references that moves its research, the search for a painter who is waiting to find her ubi consistam.
My job as a critic, I think it is sent to you my experience and also the sympathy and friendship with which I have followed the work of Stefania so far, and I believe that the "impatience" of this shows a signal path that is in fieri and that probably could also soon find a different way, as often happens to artists.
Such as happened in Boccioni that suddenly became a futurist from figurative, or Giacomo Balla, who have done tremendous things in a few years and became completely abstract, so it is not ruled out that these images that already have a drive abstract, that is a search of design as pure geometry, will come to works in which the recognition of the body is no longer possible, and then you come to abstract works.
And I say this, because it seems to me that a certain tendency to taste Blue Rider, I already felt in some works in which you lose the definition of the contours of the body, which are those from whom she starts. This inevitable process, because if it enlarges the detail with a kind of zoom, as you approach you lose the definition of and we see an abstract work.
These elements that I have indicated, I believe all the elements of great interest to those who follow the work of Stefania (...). I conclude by saying that I was happy to come here in an air I breathe with satisfaction and I said what I said a guarantee of an artist over the years has matured and will ripen its ideal of painting.
